Donation from Taylor Wimpey
We were very honoured to receive a huge donation from Taylor Wimpey of £3,000.
This will help to cover the cost of the new student laptops that were purchased at the end of the last acadmic year.
A big thanks to Mr Chan for bringing the presenting the cheque to us and for his work in securing this funding for us.

Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week 2022 is coordinated in England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. It will take place from 14 to 18 November 2022 and has the theme Reach Out. The theme is to empower everyone to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes. Please use the link to the Anti-Bullying Week Website for more information.

COVID - after 17th December 2020
What to do if your child receives a positive test for Covid-19 after 17 December
For the first 6 days after teaching ends, please follow the guidance below:
- If a pupil tests positive for Covid-19, having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, please contact school by emailing us at enquiries@swinderby.lincs.sch.uk – we will then assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school.
- If a pupil tests positive for Covid-19, having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, you should not contact the school. Parents and carers are advised to follow the contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.

There has been another round of highly inappropriate horror-based content on various social media platforms, and no doubt there will continue to be periodically. The LSCP is looking at a focus on parental control over the Christmas period.
It is important that children and young people feel confident in disclosing to adults when they see or experience something which upsets them or makes them feel uncomfortable – whether that is to talk to a trusted teacher or family member – and that they do not feel worried that the app will just be taken away from them.
Please encourage parents/carers and staff to be mindful that this sort of thing exists and to always be available to talk about it and reassure them, and to always discuss when they feel uncomfortable online.
The links below is support material with regards to parental controls for apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Xbox, PlayStation and a variety of other popular services presented by Internet Matters and also a reminder that TikTok has recently updated their parental controls so parents/carers can have more control over what their children are doing online.
